Job Title:                    Market Insight Manager, Global Key Accounts

Position Location:    Westchester, IL or Manchester, UK

Reports To:               VP, Global Key Accounts & Sales Excellence; Marketing Functional dotted line to VP Global Marketing

 

Ingredion is hiring a Market Insight Manager, Global Key Accounts to identify and help drive the development of insights, key account strategies and business opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage and ultimately drive revenue and margin growth with critical accounts in alignment with Ingredion’s overall strategy and specialties focus.

 

 

As Market Insight Manager, Global Key Accounts your responsibilities will include:

  •  Identify emerging market trends related to the Key Accounts market space and develop in-depth analysis of customer brands and brand strategies.
  • Support the development of a ‘fact based’ strategy and strategic marketing agenda for each account to align the offer of existing and new ingredients to the strategic priorities of the customer. Identify and develop differentiated value propositions and business opportunities for key accounts.
  • Support our Global Account Leaders & Global Innovation Group to drive the Global Key Accounts business development pipeline and implement joint business development plans. Support shaping and development of new business opportunities, potential value and investment requirements.
  • Identify tools and methods to acquire accurate consumer & industry market data. Obtain data from identified sources (secondary market research data) and develop and execute primary market research techniques (customer surveys, focus groups etc.). Analyze data to gain meaningful and actionable insight into consumer and market conditions and trends. Develop estimates of future market trends, evaluation of market potential, expected sales volumes, ­ and other relevant market factors.
  • Analyze current and potential competitors. Maintain and communicate up-to-date competitive intelligence, including competing products and companies, to facilitate strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Identify unmet customer needs. Create linkages between customer needs, brand values and product offerings.
  • Engage customers and Ingredion Go-to-Market leaders to develop an understanding of the key brand positioning of our customers to support work properly and align our innovation offering.
  • Conduct segmentation and market analysis to identify and focus efforts on the most valuable Key Accounts segments.
  • Clearly communicate findings and conclusions gleaned from data analysis; prepare and present data and conclusions through use of visual aids (charts, graphs, presentations, etc.) to internal & external audiences.
  • Coordinate development, production and delivery of various customer presentations and other marketing projects as directed.
  • Support team with quarterly and period reporting needs.
  • Serve as a member of the Marketing Excellence committee (MEC) and attend Global Marketing Team meetings.
  • Partner with key Global Innovation Group resources to lead customer “Innovation Day” program preparation and coordination and other key internal & external events.

  • Build trusted partnership with key stakeholders and are a strategic thinker. 

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field with 3-5 years of related marketing work experience, with knowledge of ingredients and their functionalities.
  • Competence in evaluation and interpreting consumer market data, including primary and secondary research.
  • Competence in building business cases.
  • Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to execute and succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team
  • Advanced computer skills, incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
