TITLE:                   Manufacturing Support Administrator

LOCATION:           Cardinal, Ontario

REPORTS TO:        Engineering Manager

 

Ingredion is hiring a Manufacturing Support Administrator, who is responsible for supporting the Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Maintenance Departments of the Cardinal facility. The primary objective of this role is performing support activities for the various departments and functions.  This includes administrative processes with vendors focusing on the procurement of Capital Equipment, goods and services.  This role will also work on ad hoc projects to improve processes and implement projects to support the overall strategy.

 

As a Manufacturing Support Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative services to a wide range of internal and external customers, supporting the optimization of efficiency and effectiveness of each function.
  • Support purchasing strategies to achieve cost and schedule objectives for Capital projects.
  • Facilitate supplier contract negotiations and evaluations to maximize supplier performance and value in the areas of cost reduction, on time delivery and quality.
  • Administration of the vendor management program, ensuring pre-qualification requirement is maintained.
  • Ensuring accurate and orderly filing and record-keeping.
  • Support for the administration of the Quality Management Systems, according to ISO standards as it relates to the procurement function.
  • Apply, enforce and identify improvements in policies and processes.
  • Promote and administer Safety, Health and Environmental programs to comply with corporate standards and regulatory requirements applicable to areas of responsibilities.
  • Establish the case for change and create effective plans to enable change through continuous improvement initiatives to deliver results.
  • Drive innovation and harmonization to categorize expenditures and optimize workflows.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Completion of Post-Secondary education, ideally an Undergraduate Degree in a related discipline (Administration).  Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 3 to 5 years work experience in administration, procurement, supply chain and/or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of technology and business software applications, with SAP experience a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to deliver results in a demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Results oriented, proven self –starter with the ability to prioritize work appropriately.
  • Previous experience handling administrative duties independently, with authority to act on behalf of others, when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to solve position related problems.
