Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Position Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

 

Ingredion is hiring a Maintenance Planner to thoroughly analyze jobs and establish written job plans for a crew. The Maintenance Planner’s primary responsibility is to evaluate the work order scope, establish written job plans for a crew, ensure all materials required for the job are available/ordered, and enter the planning and status information into SAP. This will require making a field assessment of the job site conditions, consulting documents, drawings, procedures, plant equipment libraries, and consulting with subject matter experts.

 

As a Maintenance Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed job plans/packets for a work order, including: job description; sequence of activities; estimates of crafts and hours; methods; materials and parts; digital camera photos; sketches; tools and drawings.

  • Developing, archiving and maintaining job plan libraries for repetitive jobs.

  • Completing work orders in SAP-PM system.

  • Maintaining records integrity to include Bill of Material (BOM) updates, equipment text updates, and equipment repair history.

  • Mechanical planning (I.e. Pipefitting, Rotating Equipment, etc.) but cross discipline work will be required.

  • Actively seeking craft input and feedback on job plans.

  • Using standardized procedures, work processes, and guidelines as per the global work processes.

  • Performing an assessment of the job site conditions as part of the job plan creation.

  • Driving weekly planning meetings with coordinators and scheduler to prioritize and manage planning backlog in SAP. 

The Maintenance Planner position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Maintain a productive and effective relationship with all members of the team as well as company affiliates, to ensure clear rapid flow of information

  • Act as the ambassador for the Company in team settings and encouraging product collaboration.

  • Be a enjoy being a member of and/or lead committees and teams.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Associate’s degree in relevant field or the equivalent in education and experience.

  • Three or more years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of CMMS systems as it pertains to maintenance and operations. SAP experience a plus.

  • Strong planning, organizing and time management skills.

  • Knowledge/experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and/or other software tools.

  • Experience predictive/preventive maintenance programs

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to present shift reports, lead meetings, and review/write SOPs.
