SUMMARY:  The Financial Analyst position will have the responsibility for supporting the department’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting areas, including all budget vs. actual reporting efforts. The position will fully own the accounting, budgeting and forecasting for all capital spending and the associated implementation of Power Steering in accordance with our parent company guidelines.  In addition, the position will have other reporting responsibilities including but not limited to:  product profitability, customer profitability, operational metric reporting and analysis, etc.



  1. Provides support in the development of the annual budget (Goal) and quarterly forecasts (Latest Estimates), with appropriate involvement of Department executives and managers. Completes all budget and forecast data loads into BPC. Performs reviews of budget vs. actual performance with all departments.
  1. Prepares the Monthly Financial Package. Partners with cross-functional teams to gather information and prepare analysis for management.
  1. Performs all accounting, budgeting and forecasting for fixed assets and depreciation, and manages all capital spending. Completes all data loads into PowerSteering.
  1. Actively participates in the Business Intelligence processes for the organization including establishment of a system to integrate all data into one central repository. Provides input for the planning and execution of the project, and supports ongoing training and maintenance of the system.
  1. Prepares analysis, as needed, in support of operational metrics to help drive operational performance.
  1. Prepares analysis, as needed, in support of financial results to help drive financial performance.

Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field required, with accounting, finance, or information technology preferred. At least 3 – 5 years of related experience; experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Must have advanced level of computer and ERP proficiency. Experience with Sage X3 or SAP preferred. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, with experience in business intelligence systems and SQL server preferred. 



Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.



Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.   



Must have an attention to detail, including a thorough process of review and quality checking all key deliverables.
