    Business Unit: Quality, Food Safety, and Continuous Improvement

    Primary Function

    Within this entry level Quality Documentation Specialist role you will review, lead, and respond to high volume of customer emails daily in customer document system. Respond to customer requests for product and manufacture site documents and questionnaires. Meet customer response team goals. Improve the customer documentation system.

    As a Customer Documentation Specialist, you will perform the following:

    • Complete incoming customer requests daily.
    • Respond to requests for standard documents, questionnaires, customer specifications, quality agreements.
    • Work collaboratively with technical, manufacturing, quality, and customer support groups to complete customer questionnaires
    • Provide customer letters in response to standard inquiries; oversee the response to non-standard inquires and requests
    • Develop and maintain deep understanding of products and manufacture sites
    • Support the generation of needed documentation by working with appropriate parties within and external to quality
    • Collaborate with other members of Quality team to maintain and continuously improve the systems and databases.
    • Support the implementation to Standard Work
    • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects
    • Organize, maintain all quality documentation, standard letters, and track response to customer inquiries
    • Work as part of a team to ensure customer documentation response process functions authoritatively
    • Work with Sales to ensure requests are complete and prioritized as needed


    If you hold the following knowledge, skills, and requirements, we want you:


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or in related science field; or commensurate experience in quality, operations, or regulatory areas
    • Basic knowledge of the corn wet milling process, starches, sweeteners, or food ingredient experience.
    • Confirmed ability to work well independently with minimal supervision; actively seeks mentorship when needed to maintain progress on assignments
    • Excellent time management skills; ability to handle multiple requests/assignments at a time, complete assigned requests accurately and on a timely basis.
    • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, graphics, and data base software
    • Excellent verbal and written social skills.
    • Excellent listening skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
