    Location:  Westchester, IL

     

    Ingredion is hiring a Sr. / Sales Representative Agribusiness - Oil to manage the corn oil product line sales for the US & Canadian Regions and Agri-Products sales from the Argo plant. Build supply relationships, develop new customer accounts, and search for new sales opportunities for Agri-Products while optimizing netbacks. 

     

    As a Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include:

    • Maximize Refined, Bleached, Winterized and Deodorized (RBWD) US and Canada corn oil sales volumes and revenues to achieve budgeted sales and profitability targets.  Manage the 3rd party sales process including: strategic sales planning, prospecting new customers, negotiating contract terms, and executing sales.

    • Crude Corn Oil Purchases – Manage crude corn oil and germ purchases to achieve optimal economics and asset utilization.  Manage the entire purchasing process including: negotiating contract terms, executing sales, and implementing annual ISO supplier evaluation.

    • Feed Ingredient Sales – Maximize Agri-product sales volumes and revenues to achieve budgeted sales and growth targets. Within departmental guidelines, execute sales, negotiate contract terms and assist in or implement Agri-product sales. Minimize dependence on brokers and distributors where possible.

    • Market Evaluation and Price Forecasting – Determine the best marketing strategies, analyze consumptive markets, formulation economics, extent of user coverage and nutritional aspects, cost and availability of alternative edible oils and feed ingredients. Prepare business plans, set goals and outline opportunities with a planned approach to implementation.

    • Inventory Management – Maximize refining margins through refined oil sales pricing and optimizing refinery production.  Evaluate incremental economics associated with crude oil and germ purchases. 

    • Ensure sales contracts agree with customer confirmations. Monitor and fulfill contractual requirements on truck and rail shipments. Keep records of other details: quality discrepancies, verbal agreements, off-spec shipments and plant events affecting Agri-Product availability.

    • Administrative – Enter sales contracts into SAP and keep record of other details: quality discrepancies, verbal agreements, off-spec shipments and plant events affecting Agri-product availability. Contribute to Corn Products forecasting and planning: provide timely analyses of market outlooks, competitive situations, volume and netback pricing for Profit Plan and LE calculations.

    • Prospecting – Identify and develop the highest potential opportunities.  Leverage knowledge of Ingredion’s products, edible oil and feed marketplace to identify sales opportunities and quality leads.  Develop the customer’s interest in Ingredion’s products.

    • Process Improvement – Identify and implement opportunities to improve the Agribusiness processes to improve efficiency and product netbacks

    The Sales Representative position is well-suited for you if you:

    • Stay abreast of developments within trade through industry contacts and association memberships. Participate in industry activities involving trade shows and conferences.  Maintain a working knowledge of trade rules and regulations.

    • Departmental Collaboration – Work with all members of the Agribusiness sales team to coordinate sales strategies.  Collaborate with members of Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Order Coordination, Customer Service, and Credit to satisfy customers while optimizing Ingredion’s supply chain.

    Qualified candidates will have:

    • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences, Agri-Business or equivalent.

    • Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule and successfully manage multiple priorities.

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and across functional groups.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with presentation proficiency.

    • Extensive use and knowledge in the use of personal computers. Demonstrated use in Windows, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Experience with SAP and Business Warehouse would be helpful, but not required.

    • Willingness to travel regularly (approx. 20%) on customer calls.
