  • Responsibilities

    Primary Function

    Timely and accurate processing of the hourly payroll for the U.S. and Canada plants.


    Supervision: None


     The Tulsa-based Shared Service Center is a key element of our commitment to finance excellence and the delivery of high quality finance support to the US. / CA organization.


    Key Deliverables

    • Ensure accurate preparation and balancing of semi-monthly and special payrolls, payroll balance sheet and summaries
    • Oversee additions and changes to hourly payroll and payroll related items (i.e., salary changes, tax withholding, 401K loans and deferrals, general deductions etc.) using the different hourly payroll systems.
    • Handles various authorized payroll adjustments, e.g., garnishments, manual computation of gross and net pay, vacation pay, bonuses, dividends, etc.
    • Create and generate necessary reports for distribution to accounting, management, and external customers
    • Serve as subject matter expert in strategic planning concerning new or projected areas of technology or operational direction for the department
    • Provides support to A/P Manager with regards to payroll personnel administrative requests (e.g., vacations, absences, sick leaves)


    Qualification Requirements:

    • A minimum of 3 years payroll work experience, including a working knowledge of how to execute Payroll processing in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Prior work with multi state reporting is required
    • Knowledge of both US and Canadian payroll preferred
    • BS in Accounting/Finance and/or Business preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), ADP Enterprise, Etime/Kronos
    • Strong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in work
    • Demonstrated excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
    • Flexibility to work extended hours to ensure payrolls are processed timely and accurately
